It is with great sadness that we have to announce the passing of the club’s legendary scorer and fixture secretary, Richard White.
Richard was a stalwart of the club since he scored his first game at the start of the 1984 season. From that point, he did not miss one 1st XI league game in 40 years. Cricket was one of the great passions of his life and the pleasure he took from scoring and being involved in the club was obvious to all. Many players will cherish the batting wagon wheels that he produced for their milestone innings, produced by hand using his scoring methodology that was a mystery to most.
Richard’s passing will leave a huge hole at the club and he will be greatly missed. All our thoughts are with his family at this time.
